Diddy Party Holds Off Outlaws in 10-8 Offensive Showcase
Diddy Party survived a furious comeback attempt from the Outlaws, pulling away late for a thrilling 10-8 victory in a game packed with momentum swings and offensive firepower.
Diddy Party came out flying in the opening period, building a 3-0 lead behind two quick goals from Devin Unger and another from Anthony Weitzel. Daymond Hiester was instrumental in the early surge, recording assists on all three opening goals. The Outlaws answered before the first intermission with a pair of goals from Bryce Witman, cutting the deficit to 3-2 after one despite being outshot 10-7.
The second period belonged to the Outlaws early. Witman completed his hat trick less than 15 seconds into the frame to tie the game, and after Weitzel briefly restored Diddy Party's lead, the Outlaws responded with three straight goals. Witman added his fourth of the night before setting up Zayden Latkovich for the go-ahead goal, and Kam Albright extended the advantage to 6-4. Diddy Party refused to fold, however, as Weitzel scored twice—including a buzzer-beater with one second remaining—to complete his hat trick and send the teams into the final period tied 6-6.
The third period featured more back-and-forth action before Diddy Party finally seized control. Matt Keppley gave Diddy Party the lead at 9:41, but Andrew Walter answered for the Outlaws to even the score once again. From there, Diddy Party took over. Weitzel buried his fifth goal of the game, Daymond Hiester added an insurance marker, and Eric Refford found the back of the net with 1:31 remaining to stretch the lead to three. Walter scored just five seconds later for the Outlaws, but it was too little, too late as Diddy Party closed out the 10-8 win.
Weitzel led all scorers with a remarkable five-goal performance, adding an assist for a six-point night. Hiester was the playmaker of the game with five assists while also scoring once for six points. Unger finished with two goals and two assists, and Refford contributed a goal and two assists.
For the Outlaws, Witman was sensational with four goals and an assist, while Walter chipped in two goals and an assist. Latkovich recorded a goal and an assist, and Albright added a goal and an assist in the losing effort.
Diddy Party finished with a slight 29-27 edge in shots. Both goaltenders faced plenty of quality chances, with Diddy Party's Brandon Wagaman making 19 saves to earn the victory while the Outlaws' Dan Witman also stopped 19 shots in defeat.
After a game that featured four ties and multiple lead changes, Diddy Party's late offensive surge proved to be the difference in one of the season's most entertaining contests.

Team SuperLytes Roll Past Lebanon Mercenaries, 10-4
Team SuperLytes used a relentless offensive attack and a dominant shot advantage to earn a convincing 10-4 victory over the Lebanon Mercenaries on Saturday.
The Mercenaries struck first when Matt Sacks found the back of the net at the 5:52 mark of the opening period, but that would be their only lead of the game. Team SuperLytes answered just over a minute later as Bryce Witman tied the contest before Cody Rotiske and Luke Repsik scored to cap a three-goal run, giving SuperLytes a 3-1 advantage after one period. SuperLytes controlled play early, outshooting Lebanon 13-5 in the first.
The second period belonged entirely to Team SuperLytes. A power-play goal from Ty Loftus extended the lead before Rotiske buried his second goal of the night. Austin Mauer and Witman added goals later in the period as SuperLytes stretched the margin to 7-1. The Mercenaries found a late response when Sacks scored his second goal of the game off a feed from Owen Noll, cutting the deficit to 7-2 heading into the third.
SuperLytes kept the pressure on in the final period. Witman scored his third goal of the game to complete the hat trick, and Repsik followed moments later with his second tally of the night. After Julian Imm briefly halted the run for Lebanon, Loftus scored his second goal of the evening to make it 10-3. Chase Schrift closed the scoring for the Mercenaries with a late goal assisted by Mike Caffoncelli, but the outcome was well in hand as Team SuperLytes skated away with the 10-4 win.
Witman led the SuperLytes offense with a hat trick and three assists for a six-point performance. Rotiske finished with two goals and two assists, while Repsik contributed two goals and two assists. Mauer recorded one goal and three assists, Jake Bolles chipped in three assists, and Loftus scored twice, including the game's lone power-play goal.
For Lebanon, Sacks accounted for half of the team's offense with two goals, while Imm and Schrift each added third-period markers.
Team SuperLytes controlled the pace throughout the contest, finishing with a commanding 35-20 advantage in shots on goal. The SuperLytes goaltender Dann Steffens turned aside 16 of 20 shots for an .800 save percentage, while the Mercenaries' Dylan Holst made 25 saves despite facing constant pressure.
Special teams also favored Team SuperLytes, as they capitalized on their only power-play opportunity early in the second period. The Mercenaries were unable to convert on their lone man advantage late in the first.
With balanced scoring, crisp puck movement, and sustained offensive pressure, Team SuperLytes delivered one of their most complete performances of the season in the 10-4 victory.

Mixed Nutz Pull Away for 9-2 Victory Over Shooting Blanks
Mixed Nutz erased an early deficit and took control with eight unanswered goals over the final two periods, cruising to a 9-2 victory over Shooting Blanks.
Shooting Blanks grabbed the game's first goal midway through the opening period when Robbie Schaeffer beat the goaltender to make it 1-0. Mixed Nutz answered late in the period behind the hot stick of Anthony Weitzel, who scored twice in the final 1:35. His first tally tied the game off a feed from Anthony Polvino, and just 44 seconds later he struck again with assists from Eric Refford and Elliot Repsik, giving Mixed Nutz a 2-1 lead after one.
The second period saw Mixed Nutz seize complete control. Repsik extended the lead with a goal off assists from Zach Boley and Weitzel before Refford added another just 33 seconds later. Shooting Blanks briefly cut the deficit to 4-2 when Travis Weaver finished a setup from Dan Openheimer, but Mixed Nutz responded immediately. Weitzel completed his hat trick with a goal assisted by Theo Vela before scoring again just 18 seconds later, giving him four goals on the night and sending Mixed Nutz into the second intermission with a commanding 6-2 advantage.
Mixed Nutz never let up in the third period. Jeff Bohler scored twice, including his second off an assist from Vela, before Vela capped the scoring with a goal of his own, assisted by Refford, to seal the 9-2 final.
Weitzel paced the offense with a dominant four-goal, one-assist performance. Refford contributed one goal and two assists, while Vela finished with one goal and two assists. Bohler recorded two third-period goals, and Repsik added a goal and an assist in the balanced offensive effort.
For Shooting Blanks, Schaeffer and Weaver each scored, with Openheimer collecting the lone assist.
Mixed Nutz controlled the game statistically as well, outshooting Shooting Blanks 29-19. Goaltender Dann Steffens was sharp in net, stopping 17 of 19 shots for an impressive .895 save percentage. At the other end, Pat Noecker faced steady pressure throughout the night, making 20 saves despite the loss.
After falling behind early, Mixed Nutz responded with relentless offensive pressure and strong team play, turning a one-goal deficit into a convincing seven-goal victory.

Sweater Puppies Withstand Wreckers Rally for 9-6 Victory
The Sweater Puppies built a commanding early lead and held off a spirited third-period comeback from the Wreckers to earn a 9-6 victory in a fast-paced, offense-filled matchup.
The Puppies wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Shane Wilson struck twice in the opening eight seconds of the game, the second coming off a feed from Brendan Fergus. The Wreckers answered with back-to-back goals from Clint Goulden and Dylan Hayick to even the score at 2-2, but the momentum quickly swung back. Fergus restored the lead with help from TJ Sinchak, then scored a shorthanded goal late in the period off an assist from Haden People. As time expired in the first, Reece Wilson buried another goal to give the Sweater Puppies a commanding 5-2 advantage after one.
The Puppies continued to control the game in the second period. Shane Wilson completed his hat trick less than a minute into the frame before Reece Wilson added his second goal of the night, assisted by Shane Wilson, stretching the lead to 7-2. The Wreckers managed to get one back in the closing seconds of the period as Goulden netted his second goal, with Hayick earning the assist, trimming the deficit to 7-3.
Facing a four-goal hole entering the third, the Wreckers mounted an impressive push. Fergus scored early to make it 8-3, but the Wreckers answered with three consecutive goals in just over a minute. Goulden scored twice to complete his hat trick, and Matt James added another off a feed from Goulden, cutting the deficit to 8-6 and putting pressure on the Puppies late. With the Wreckers pressing for another, Reece Wilson sealed the victory by scoring with just three seconds remaining, completing the 9-6 final.
The Sweater Puppies were led by three standout performances. Shane Wilson recorded a hat trick and an assist, Fergus finished with three goals and one assist, including a key shorthanded tally, and Reece Wilson added a hat trick of his own. Together, the trio accounted for all nine Sweater Puppies goals. Sinchak and Haden People each contributed an assist.
For the Wreckers, Goulden paced the offense with a hat trick and an assist, while Hayick chipped in one goal and two assists. James added a third-period goal as the Wreckers fought back after trailing by five.
The Sweater Puppies held a slight 22-20 edge in shots on goal, although the Wreckers outshot them 11-7 in the third period during their comeback attempt. Goaltender Chase Wilson earned the win with 14 saves, while Shawn Leddy stopped 13 shots in defeat.
Despite the late charge from the Wreckers, the Sweater Puppies' explosive first period proved to be the difference as they secured the 9-6 victory.

Pinky and the Fruitcakes Outlast Free Agent Squad in Wild 9-8 Thriller
Pinky and the Fruitcakes built a five-goal cushion, watched it disappear in the third period, then found a late game-winner to escape with a thrilling 9-8 victory over the Free Agent Squad in one of the highest-scoring games of the season.
The opening period featured end-to-end action. Justin Glenn opened the scoring for Pinky and the Fruitcakes before Christian Wenger answered for the Free Agent Squad to even the game. Nick Nudy restored the lead, but Andrew Witman quickly tied it again. Pinky responded with two unanswered goals from Nate Leaman and Nudy to take a 4-2 lead into the first intermission. Glenn and Jordan Brown each picked up two assists during the four-goal opening period.
The offensive fireworks continued in the second. Gideon Jones cut the deficit to one early, but Pinky answered in dominant fashion with four straight goals. Ben Cozzone, Nudy, Wes Eagelman, and Corey Brown all found the back of the net as Pinky stretched the lead to 8-3. The Free Agent Squad refused to go away, however, as Witman scored twice in the final 42 seconds of the period to trim the margin to 8-5 heading into the third.
The comeback continued in the final period. Witman completed his four-goal performance early in the frame before Wenger scored to make it a one-goal game. Just 21 seconds later, Brandon Mullin buried the equalizer off a feed from Witman, erasing what had once been a five-goal deficit and tying the contest at 8-8.
With the game hanging in the balance, Pinky and the Fruitcakes found one last answer. At the 1:39 mark, Glenn finished a setup from Leaman for what proved to be the game-winning goal, lifting Pinky to a dramatic 9-8 victory.
Glenn led the Pinky offense with two goals and four assists for a six-point night. Leaman was equally impressive, recording one goal and four assists, while Nudy scored a hat trick. Jordan Brown added three assists, and Cozzone, Eagelman, and Corey Brown each chipped in a goal.
For the Free Agent Squad, Witman was outstanding with four goals and two assists, directly contributing to six of his team's eight goals. Mullin collected one goal and three assists, Wenger added two goals and one assist, and Jones scored once in the losing effort.
Despite being outshot 27-24, Pinky and the Fruitcakes capitalized on their scoring chances and survived the Free Agent Squad's relentless third-period rally. Goaltender Shawn Noecker made 19 saves to earn the victory, while Andy Slichter stopped 15 shots in the loss.
After seeing a commanding lead vanish, Pinky and the Fruitcakes showed resilience when it mattered most, scoring the decisive late goal to cap off an entertaining 9-8 shootout.
