Opening Night!

Let's be honest, I'm probably not going to be keeping up with these recaps. I do like the new scoring app, and hopefully other scorekeepers can stay on top of it! Lets get into some Ai Recaps!

Game 1 Recap: Mixed Nutz 6, Shooting Blanks 2
Mixed Nutz put together a complete team effort on their way to a convincing 6-2 victory over Shooting Blanks.
Jake Steimer opened the scoring midway through the first period, finishing a setup from Jeff Bohler to give Mixed Nutz an early 1-0 lead. Shooting Blanks answered just over four minutes later when Robbie Schaeffer buried the equalizer, briefly tying the game at 1-1.
The tie lasted only 11 seconds. Steimer struck again, once more off a feed from Bohler, restoring the Mixed Nutz lead at 2-1 before the end of the opening period.
Mixed Nutz took control in the second period as Anthony Weitzel found the back of the net to extend the lead to 3-1.
Weitzel continued his dominant night in the third, scoring twice more to complete a hat trick. His third goal came off an assist from Steimer, pushing the advantage to 5-1. Shooting Blanks got one back thanks to Christian Wenger, but any hopes of a comeback were quickly erased when Bohler capped off the scoring with a goal of his own, sealing the 6-2 final.

Game 2 Recap: KeppStiens Island 10, Wreckers 6
KeppStiens Island came out flying and survived a furious Wreckers rally before pulling away for a 10-6 win.
